Recomended stuff?

Featured Replies

Hiya,

I've never really took an interest in cleaning my cars, i've just always bought Turtle wax stuff i.e. shampoo then a colour magic polish.

I'm picking up my Black Octavia elegance tomorrow which is on a 07 plate. Can anyone recomend a set of products to make up a car cleaning kit, so that i can keep the car looking tip top. I'll be washing and polishing by hand. I take it going to Hellfrauds is a no no!

Im using Turtlewax shampoo at the moment for washing the car but it doesnt seem to froth up too much so might try Autoglym next time......I use Autoglym polishing products and fast glass and find them fine for my needs.

But my best recent buy has been a Maguires anti static rubber brush which is the best product Ive found for removing dog hair form the boot etc... lifts it with a vigourous brush and then dyson it up!!

Made SWIMBOs Fusions boot look like new! Awesome.

I alway buy from Halfords and had no problems. No more expensive than anywhere else.

Nice one chaps!

Going to Halfords tomorrow, so will purchase some autoglym. I read the stickys on how to properly clean your car. I've already got a lambswool mit, but have always used a chamios to leather it down. Maybe i'll get myself a waffle weave towel instead. I think the sticky threads on how to clean your car complicate things for the beginner (not that i am been driving for 18 years), but it does make me question my methods and my current car cleaning kit.

If its autoglym im going to purchase, what should i buy as a basic starter kit?
