What have you done with your cubby hole?

That little badger that sits under the single DIN radio

Looks a little blank and un exciting, previous owner kept a lighter in there..... i dont smoke so hmmm what to do with it!

Anybody done any modifications on their own cars cubby hole or have seen on somebody elses?

A thread for throwing ideas around

There's a 3 gauge holder available on eBay for it. Or you can fit a double din stereo.

Chewing gum & pens :p

I use to keep fags and lighter in there, but since I gave up it's used to hold glasses and phone.

A few spliffs ready rolled.... Oops, wrong forum :)

I find a Beretta Px4 Storm Compact fits in there quite nicely. Handy for dispatching middle lane hoggers...

Drilled a hole in the back of mine and ran the iPod lead from the Connects2 into my cubby hole, so my Nano is also placed there when i'm in the car.

I found my iPhone fell out of the cubby hole with spirited driving.

I did away with mine and put a liquid gauge in its place.....

:D here we go again??????????????????? :D

VW MFD double din SatNav unit.

a manual telling you to change water pump when you do timing belt

I've always thought it was a bit rubbish tbh. Aint done nothing to mine it just holds baby wipes in there and chewing gums.

It would be better if it had a door on it..

Some sort of extendable cup holder would be very good too.

That radio looks the business Danboy, its a Pioneer what?

And is this CD changer connector a special 'skoda radios only' plug or does it correspond with a certain manufacturer for egsample sony or clarion or something?

I created another dimension of space and time in mine, sadly though my insurance company hiked the premium up by a tenner so got rid of it

As above ;)

There's a cup holder available on Australian eBay and a Ford Taurus one fits but haven't seen one on uk sites :(

I think that the Polo/Lupo one would probably fit as it is single DIN size. I have fitted one to SWMBO's Fabia.

So double DINers are the way forward but sacrifice their 6cd changer for the use of a USB

Well I just use a 160gb ipod, before with my standard set up I could have 6 CD's, now I can have about 20,000 tracks on my ipod always in the car and no CD's clogging up the interior.
