Hi there ive just recently purchased a fabia 1.4mpi on a w reg 2000 , i have just found out there seems to be a internittent fault on the temp gauge works now and then , ive been reading some older threads and have seen that the sensor for this needs to be changed just underneath the engine cover does does this sound right , and also i have a problem with my headlights flickering , also heard that this may be a sensor aswell could someone please help me out and advise me wheres cheapest to buy these parts please any help will be greatfully recieved .... also i have tried cleaning the prongs on the sensor for the temp and it worked fine for the first drive and low and behold stopped working again ?

Headlights flickering could be the battery, the power steering is electrically driven and can draw 60 amps from the battery. If the battery is weak then the lights will flicker as you turn the wheel.

The temp gauge problem will be the temp sender.

Hi therei changed the battery yesturday and it still does the same i have been told that it could be a steering angle sensor ?

I got mine from the main dealer. Came to about £27, but it may be different for your car.

May be better to change the thermostat at the same time as the temp sender you can get a complete unit that includes both. 2 bolts 5 mins.

I got one from ebay, think it was rainford skoda's ebay shop or may have been Jorily
