Unhappy Fabia Owner

Featured Replies

We have owned our Fabia Estate for nearly 3 years now, but it may well be dead now. My wife got it stuck on a soft verge turning round, so we left it until the morning to tow it out. Unfortunately, the local low lifes found it during the night and smashed a lot of the glass as well as denting several panels. It seems uneconomical to repair and insurance isn't really an option as it is insured with our 17 year old driving and losing the NCB will cost us more than the payout on the car. Am now looking for a blue donor car for doors, bonnet etc., or maybe just a replacement and scrap this one.

Added pictures - don't know how to get them to display, but the links seem to work OK.

Welcome to the forum, really sorry to here your woes, the scumbags

Welcome to Briskoda, sorry to hear of the trouble you have had.

Bring back kneecapping! :dull:

Sod Kneecapping , bring back public flogging and capital punishment, the obnoxious little scumbags, they should be made to work to earn the cost of replacing the car. And welcome to Briskoda

Really sorry to hear about that...

From the pictures it seems like all you need is windows, to get the car into a drive-able condition. The dents also look small maybe they could be filled and painted?

You could probably get the glass from any scrappie....

Hope that helps, and the scumbags that did it get what they deserve....

Hi & welcome

So sorry to hear about your troubles; long shot i know, but i truly hope that the scumbags get caught.

Hope you get it sorted

John

Bad news. Like others have said, get down the scrappies.

Thanks for the messages. The car is mechanically very good, we have kept it well and it was just serviced plus 2 new tyres last week. I am hoping that we can get glass (or better complete doors) from the scrapper and then get it sprayed, but it depends what the total bill is going to come to!

You should be able to do it yourself quiet cheaply, certainly cheaper than scrapping a good car and then having to go out and buy another (unknown) car.

Ouch gutted, I'd be distraught if that happened to me sorry dude :(

Dave

Get the glass replaced, it should only cost you around £70 excess for glass replacement on fully comp (doesn't matter how many panes?).

yes thats right i claimed 2!

aslong as it was one incident which it was (vandalism) just one excess applies!!
