does any one know what this error is about it tells me that there is a fault on the exhaust management system and may be put into safe mode (it has gone into it yet!!!!)

It gives me a yellow is picture of an engine left hand dial (revcounter)

Control system for exhaust

The warning light comes on after the ignition has been switched on. If the warning light does not go out after starting the engine or it lights up when driving, a fault exists in an exhaust relevant component. The engine management system selects an emergency programme which enables you to drive to the nearest specialist garage by adopting a gentle style of driving.

I had the same light. A job for the garage. Failed DPF pressure sensor. It took 2 weeks for the part to arrive (even though it's a common failure), by which time the car had gone into safe mode and was also displaying the DPF light and a flasging glowplug light. seems ok now but I assume as it's the same part the same may happen again.

Had this on my Audi. Oxygen sensor. £54 to diagnose £200 for fix!

Had pressure sensor issues with our PD Octavia 170 light came on twice or three times , sometimes cleaned and refitted later it was replaced and we havent had the problem since (at least 2 years ) all done under warranty
