I have a Octavia Classic (new Jan'07) I bought it used in Dec. last year.

Thing is the car has central door locking.

But not remote central door locking.

Can I upgrade it in some way?

The same question was posed a few weeks back on this forum. The answer was to find an auto electrician who specialises in alarm systems and remote locking. The earlier enquirer had a Toad remote system installed(like SWMBO has in her Hyundai Getz)

To be honest I have bought a upgrade kit off fleebay made in China(!) but here in Jersey when I approached local auto electricians they said it was not possible due to CANBUS.

I was just wondering if anybody know better or if the CANBUS is really not a problem.

It is possible as I've had it done on my 54 player mk2 classic. There's abit of work involved but its finding a decent auto spark to do it. I got mines done in TRIX car audio in Dunfermalne in Scotland. Toad alarm aswell
