Hi Jakey, 'chipping' went out of the window many years ago now.. It is re-mapping now which doesn't involve ripping ECU's to bits it's all laptop based now altering set values for more power etc or uploading a base map which is already proven

There are several trusted mappers on this site most people swear by performance torque although not massively sure what he can do for the 2.0 Tsi

just had a quick google and found this, might be worth reading; http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/149680-my-experience-fl-octavia-vrs-20-tsi-sts-remap/

Hope this helps

Yes with Revo. Got mine done after 800 miles. Huge leap in performance. No idea on economy as I pay no attention to it. Just fill up when it needs it!

Cheers Lew, yes I meant re-mapping the ECU, thanks for the tip

Hi,

I had my CR170 remapped by shark performance and love it much more power and pulls all the way through the power band now, fuel economy is about the same as before (when I drive it carefully is better than it was but that doesnt happen that often),

Phone Shark and chat it through, they will see you right.

Hi,

I had my CR170 remapped

Not a Tsi though is it :wonder:

 Got to say my car is soooo much better with this remap.

I'd like to get mine re-maped with Shark, is anyone planning on doing a group buy in the near future?

Ben has just completed a large remap group buy so I doubt you will see anything soon. Best give him a call.

Go my car remapped at Shark at 1500 miles, now done 16,000.

Car drives as normal at normal speed but flies when you put your foot down. The key is that the Shark map is smooth and progressive, not slap in the face with a load of torque and then nothing at the top end

On the consumption front, I didn't really do any tests before the map but on a 70-80 mph motorway run i'll easily see 41-42 mpg on the maxi dot :

Give Ben @ Shark a call, hes a pleasure to deal with

Having my remap had a fantastic effect on the cars performance (BHP up 32%) and even after over 10,000miles it makes me smile.

Economy has not suffered and I generally get 35mpg normal mixed driving using 95 ron.

This is my second Remapped Skoda my MK1 was just as transformed.

Just do it you wont be disappointed.
