As per thread. Just wondering where exactly it's situated? :)

In my octavia I am sure it's in the boot somewhere I can hear it when I turn on the ignition

in the tank jason also there is a mechanical tandem pump on the side of the head

And the pump injectors ;)

Its the mechanical tandem pump on the engine that is being looked at in the recall for the PD engine.

Nothing really - Its just another one of my "Is the vRS one any different to mine?" thinking sessions.

Which fuel pump?

- The (low pressure) fuel lift pump? It's probably in the back, somewhere near the tank - on my (petrol) Octy I can hear it whirring as I open the driver's door.

- The injector pump(s)? You have one per cylinder (assuming it's a PD engine), integrated with the fuel injectors on the cylinder head.

Would not think so. I would have thought the only parts that were different were one or two uprated bits to handle the extra power (I.e, the gearbox/clutch, the ARB). Why would a fuel pump be any different? I would think the only difference would be in the diesel and petrol versions.
