i'm well and truely stuck don't know which to get i currently use AG EGP but want to use something more hardcore for the winter.

Nothing wrong with AG EGP, tough as nails.

I'm using the colinnite, just changed to it and am happy with it so far.

Was great value for money I thought @ £13

I know its good but i only get about 4-5 washes out of it.

maybe the shampoo i use is too strong.

I'm using the 476s atm, and very happy with it.

This was Double Dutch to me until Google eventually suggested LSP was "Last Stage Protection"...

Should be good for about 4-6 months! Try AG shampoo or Megs Gold Class shampoo.

Collinite for me, especially as a winter choice.

Your comment about AG's a bit worrying though! What shampoo are you using??

I have a massive tin of Collinite 476s I haven't even tried yet

I am sure any of the two in the voting thingy would be great., and would go well on top of AG EGP too.

I've stopped using 476S due to issues with water-marks after washing, especially if I've used Last Touch as a drying aid. I also find it a pig to work with. I've swapped onto AG EGP as it wipes on, wipes off and you can layer it as well. For a bit of depth I may put some Autobrite Distinction on the TT as it's very easy to work (low temperatures are no problem and you can do the whole car and come back and wipe it off).

Got 2 coats of 476s on bodywork and wheels at the mo, insane beading which lasts for months

Can someone take me through a good winter protection regime please?

I usually take my car to the local sponge n scratch but I'd like to give it a good going over before winter.

I'm guessing its something like...

1. Shampoo

2. Wax/Protection

?

Cheers.

Wash, rinse, dry, clay. Wash, rinse dry, machine polish, IPA wipe down, machine refine, wash, dry, Wax, LSP 12 hours and a hot bath for the aching back.

Cheers.

Stuff that!

Whats the best shampoo and polish?

I used to use Mer, I think it was called that anyway, that brought my vtr up a treat!

yeah stuff that!!

if your lazy try autoglym aqua wax

don't even need to dry the car

I think 476S is the default recommendation for most people. It's cheap and it does last.

Wash/Shampoo

Polish - try Autoglym Super Resin Polish

Last Stage Protection - try FK1000 or Autoglym Extra Gloss Protectant

It shouldn't really take more than 3-4 hours on a small car like a vRS.

If you have a black vRS swap out the Super Resin Polish for Black Hole polish.
