Featured Replies

hey all, just on the skodaparts site buying all of my servicing parts and they reccommend this oil 5 ltrs for £31 which is quite good s it VW oil. altho just one question, it saws its 502 spec? i know the fabia is 505.01. is this oil ok? and is it fully synthetic? t

thanks, jordan

If you read the pdf data sheet of Platinum 5W-40 it says it meets the 505.01 spec. http://www.thetradepartsspecialists.co.uk/flash/quantum/product/102131%20Quantum%20Platinum%20Product%20Data%20Sheet.pdf

Quantum Platinum is suitable for use in Volkswagen Group Pumpe Düse engines (meets the VW 505 01specification) on fixed service intervals.

it also says it meets: VW 502 00 / 505 00 / 505 01

It is also mentioned in the oil sticky thread. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/21250-what-engine-oil-must-i-use-in-my-fabia-vrs/

VW Dealers sell it around £27/28 inc VAT.
