TT / Cupra R engine in a vRS

Featured Replies

Still need different intercooler, exhaust plus loads more bits.

You will be miles better off spending £5k on your car.

That engine is worth £2.5k tops.

Not a simple drop in then!

+1

BAM engine isn't really all that wonderful, just a little stronger.

You could buy a used engine (so you know it works !), and get it strengthened beyond BAM spec for around that price (maybe a hybrid KO3S as well ...)

lol

Where does one aquire a brand spanking engine like that hhmmmm.

no point you can forge an engine for less lol

and you would need custom exhaust

ecu

wiring

ask trevor b he did his and it wasnt a straight swap

p.s and why would you anyway for that money lol pointless

give me £4500 i will bild you a stronger engine than that :p

For the amount that engine costs couldn't you easily do alot more for alot less?

My friend has the TT with the BAM angine and I have to say I don't really notice anything on it agaisnt my vRS.

there is a big differnce between the 2 but not worth it in this case imo

a bam engine has stronger internals and bigger turbo

bam standard = 225

vrs standard 180

so there should be a big difference or your mate has a problem

Have an engine fault at the moment and looking at worse case scenarios. Hopefully I can get mine fixed.
