There seems to be a lot of questions regarding KESSY and electrical seat adjustments, mirrora etc.

I have read a bit at different forums, and my understanding is the following:

* The electrical driver-seat has 3 memory-buttons where you can store seat and mirror-preferences.

* These buttons can be "assigned" to a key itself; so that if you and e.g. 'your better half' have a key each, you could assign seat-memory-button-1 to key-1 and seat-memory-button-2 to key-2 etc.

This would then again work if you press the "unlock" button on your key...

so what about KESSY? where you simply 'open the door' without pressing any buttons on the key?

Well, according to "spaz74" on another forum, there is a way; by following these instructions:

Assigning the remote control key to the memory buttons on the KESSY*

system

On vehicles which are equipped with the KESSY* system, the following procedure for

assigning the remote control key to the memory buttons exists for electrically adjustable

front seats and mirrors*.

– Switch the ignition off within 10 seconds after storing the setting.

– Open the driver door.

– Press the unlock button on the remote control key within 10 seconds.

If you wish to be able to retrieve the settings which are stored in the memory by also

using the radio remote control, you have to assign the radio remote control to a

memory button in each case.

As I am still waiting for a build-week, I cannot confirm whether this works or not, but thought I'd post this here in case it works..

could someone could test and confirm?

---EDIT---

I see now that 'spaz74' is on this forum as well.

if this actually works, all credit goes to him of course :-)

Works the same way as with the normal key. Yes, it does work. It's like magic. Phil. emoticon-0148-yes.gif
