Do VW polo's of the same era as the Fabia 1 suffer from the leaking door carrier, steering angle sensor problems as well as any others?

I'd be surprised with the door as it should be a different door assembly no?

Door carriers are a problem on the Polo and Ibiza alike, Steering angle sensors not so much as the Fabia was the first to arrive on this platform most of the others had the later set up that also featured on the Fabia. Console bushes, anti roll bars etc all give the same problems and do door catches etc.
