Maxi Dot dead pixels

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Looking at an Octavia to purchase while chopping mine in but have noticed that on the Maxi Dot there are 2 full lines from top to bottom with dead pixels. So nothing is displayed on these lines.

Now the car isn't cheap so I asked them if I purchased will they fix. They said yes. So deposit down and after them apparently sending the clocks off to 2 difference places the result is these displays cannot be fixed!

Is this true? I know of places that offer a service to repair things like this. Is the Maxi Dot too new? A mate's Audi clocks can be repaired for about £150 as an example, but on a 98 plate motor.

Also, will the lines get any worse or should I just stump for it and take it?

Anyone have this and noticed them get worse?

last ditch, deposit back :(

Thanks for any suggestions/advice!

They said they would fix it - it needs repairing with a new one! If they won't fix it then work out if the car price is good enough to replace it yourself.

Thing is if 2 lines have gone how soon will it be 3... 4.... 5...
