The teething problems seemed to have started and need some help or advice

car - 2001 Y REG AUQ 1.8T VRS

1) rear drivers side door wont open !???

2) The airbag light in the gauges keeps popping on and off now and again !?

3) car has lowered springs - but feels bouncy ?

no 1 is my major fix asap at the moment though !

rear door not opening is probably the door mech you need to adjust it the cable from the door handle to the mech has more than likely stretched

air bag ligh could be a faulty airbag bad connection need vag -com for this (i Have a copy on my lappy and i only live in lancaster if you need any help)

and shock sound like there tired get your self a set coilovers theres loads to choose from out there

How will i get into the door to fix it pal ?

i have a few mates with vag com etc down ere i can see thanks mate

and i dont think im going coilovers this time ive had enuf of coilys ...want a nice compramise

sounds like your springs arent matched to you shocks, ie the shocks are standard (and probably well gone) either uprated with a set of uprated shocks, or as said (which is probably cheaper) uprate to coilovers as the springs in the coilover will be matched to the shock and you wont get that bouncy feeling any more.

I think i have figured out the bouncyness !?.....my tyres were at 21psi !??!.....sorted now and it feels totally different !

seems that the front springs are aftermarket plus my top mounts and bearings are goosed along with a few other bushes so got a xmas list !?-coilovers , new top mounts/bearings etc all to be done

rear door now opens ok was a bit sticky thats all?

airbag light still seems to flash on and off for a minute though after setting off still? weird that one?

plus my exhaust/electrical system light came on tonight ????
