Bluetooth - the added extras!

Featured Replies

I'm not sure if any of this will be relevant to the Skoda BT setup (and it may even be general knowledge) but I came across a BT feature today that impressed me.

After pairing up my Desire with the 207 and then wanting to change the radio station, I must have pressed the 'source' button instead and an album on the phone started playing. That in itself impressed me as I didn't know the car was capable of doing it but I was also able to control which tracks I wanted to listen to as well.

As I said, it may be general knowledge to others but I was a happy bunny at finding something new.

Yup... that techonology has been around a while. Knows as A2DP (Advance Audio Distribution Profile) and I have found it very handy having a bluetooth stereo in the car to listen to music from the phone too.

Also if I have the phone connected through bluetooth and have the sat nav running on the phone the instruction come through the stereo over the music which is cool.

That just goes to show how out of touch I must be lol.

Does the Skoda BT have this feature then?

Yes it does, which of course you should invest in :)

it does to an extent....

Currently I have to select BT audio from the MEDIA menu on my Bolero. On my old parrot system it would just stream BT audio as a priority over anything else and switch it back off again when it was finished. Was great for tomtom voice guidance on the iPhone
