New Octavia 4x4???

Featured Replies

Just been reading the sunday papers and I came across an interesting story on page 29 of the Sunday Mail. In it it suggests that Scotland has been chosen as a place to test a new 4x4 model due to the country's impressive rainfall. It also confuses the matter somewhat by mixing up the word's test and launch.

Raining Champs.

Now I wasn't too bothered about them testing models here for rainfall, many car manufacturers already test models here, but what I took from it was that there was a new 4x4 model. Am I correct in assuming that this is the next generation Octavia since Skoda would surely not launch a new Octavia model with so little time to go in the current Octavia's production run (The papers mix-up in the worlds launch and test doesn't help!). If so then it indicates that a 4x4 will be included in the model's of the next Octavia so surely there would be a vRS in the pipeline?

Testing a car in the rain isn't quite what I would call launching it - although the ESP fitted to the Octavia 4X4 is certainly capable of doing just that! :D
