DSG Query?

Featured Replies

Has anyone else suffered this?

Tonight stopped at lights in traffic on a very slight backward grade, left it in D, lights go green, I try to go away and it starts to roll backwards, the selector is in D, Maxidot says N for a couple of seconds, it then does a wheel spin start!

This is the second time its done it, it's unnerving to say the least, in fact it could have been expensive if it had rolled back on to the car behind!

Your thoughts please.

Never had mine do that. I would take it to a dealer as looking at the car I think your still in warranty.

Even without hill hold (which mine doesn't have) it shouldn't do that.

I have mine for only about a 1000 Km but I haven't experienced anything like that.

Faulty mechatronic unit can cause that problem. It could also be something less major, such as a faulty/malajusted selector unit.

Ok thanks for your opinions, as it's due a service in a couple of weeks an I'll get them to check it over then, but in the meantime I'll keep a check on it.

I just find it very odd, that it does it so infrequently.
