Hi All,

Bought myself a second hand Octavia vRS Yesterdy. Black Magic , 51 Plate, 30 K on the clock.... Very impressed with the performance and the gearing seems to go on forever.

1st mod is to put in my Alpine Headunit, followed instruction on the site to remove standard. All good so far, but I need to run the high voltage input for the alpine to either the battery or the fuse box. Any body fitted an AlpineCDA 7893R or similar to their octavia and experience the same issue ?

Thanks.

Paid 7,999 Great British Pounds for it...

Thanks gents,

I am sure that the bug will get me, have already been through a number of sites relating to Vag 1.8 T tuning. Also like the idea of remote start idea...

Going to put back in the standard stereo and go for a drive. I have had trouble putting the keys down...

Welcome!

Take the permanant 12v feed for the headunit off the bottom of the relay plate under the drivers side bottom dash panel. Look for a 10mm nut on the bottom with 30 written above it.
