Questions: Rear ARB and Map?

Thanks for that mate!

TBH whilst I'd love to haggle and get a bargain I haven't got all the time in the world at the minute and my better half is commuting by train which seems to cost us both hours each week.

Out of interest, I take it that it had a Remap? The garage hadn't noticed if so.

If anyone cares to educate me as to what to look out for then I'd be very grateful! Did one hell of a round trip today and have the same planned for tommorrow!

Well, after seeing a few in varying condition I now have a nice '06 40k miles VRS in Red, no leather (would have been nice) but compared to the others it was in fantastic condition. I'll get a picture up when I get a minute or three.

The little place I bought it from reckons he's sold 12 this year.

Sounds good mate! Congratulations! I hope you enjoy. Seat Surgeons are generally recommended on here if you want a re-trim. Prices are around £800 IIRC.

Pictures would be good! I'm suprised he's managed to get his hands on 12! Where did you buy it from in the end?

Any wet carpets in the rear? Hopefully not and you should be condensation free

Stockport.

As its my better halfs daily driver we're going to keep it absolutely stock until the current insurance policy expires then we can see what we want to do and it also gives us enough time to fully read into the remaps. There's a guy at the same flats with a VRS with a JBS sticker so I'll see if I can chat to him and compare.

I'll get some pictures up ASAP but I get a bit carried away with my camera so it could take a while!

Certainly enjoyed driving it home over the Snake today despite the wintery conditions!

Thanks... Shame the weather is so pants as I'm having to be very cautious.

Certainly a good buy there mate, well done for taking advice and getting one that has been used well, these certainly seem to be the most reliable, as for the snow I think in a way it's good, you have so much to look forward too!

Blt engine as well, meant to be more powerful that the old type, some one on here has a standard one rr'd at 160bhp!

Congrats on joining the crew :)

look forward to the waves, beeps, flashes when you see another vrs, you would be surprised how often it happens

Tried them both.

Bought neither for different reasons.

Currently got another dilemna between which to see tomorrow, one sporting Briskoda, The ring and Jabbasport badges at a seat dealership who don't think its had a map (really? Anyone know which member might have owned it FG06 HOH?)

and another one that looks more normal.

We've both been quite amazed by how much "Stunning condition" has varied so far from the 3 we've looked at/driven!

lol No it never had a remap but did run a Dragon Box for 3 years and kicked out 165BHP and 298lb/ft.

As you now know it needed quite a few jobs doing to it hence me part-exing it rather than selling it private. ;)

If anyone see's anything on here from someone who's purchased it (It's now removed from the dealership site so looks to have been sold) let me know as i'm happy to answer any questions they may have.

Cheers

Dave.
