Colour Coded bumper trims

Featured Replies

Ever since I bought my VRS last June the black bumper trims have kinda bugged me. I've treated them with bumper black several times, but every time it rains or I wash the car the trims go back to faded grey :( .

Well I was bored this afternoon, & it was a nice sunny day so I made myself busy.

Still need to do the door trims, but weather willing I'll do them tomorrow.

Looks good Paul, what paint did you use?

I felt the same way until I discovered Gtechniq C4 trim restorer, treated all my trim about 2 months ago and after 6 washes it is still jet black and beading water

There's a place called Coatings Direct in Cardiff who supply to the trade. They will colour match & every time I use them they get it spot on.

I'm getting both moldings brand new next week, hopefully they will stay black for a few years B)

is there any of these new that come ready primered do you know ?

how much are new trims

They are about £60. I'm getting a pair on an insurance claim after someone reversed into my car. Knowing the repair shop has its rewards
