Does anybody know why the temperature light on the dash comes on when i start my car and stays on for about 30 seconds.its only started doing it for the last couple of days. Thanks in advance

If it's not low on coolant, then it could be that the header tank sensor has got gunked up. You can clean it up with a toothbush.

I had this problem with my old mk1 vrs,it did it every winter,all i did with mine was add a little bit of coolant & it was fine,its normally the sensor req cleaning or replacing.
