Aerial connection in aftermarket HU

Featured Replies

Sorry if this is a regular question but I have no idea what to search for...

When changing over to an aftermarket head unit (Kenwood) the coaxial aerial connector on the back is different to the connector from the OE aerial . How do people overcome this, is there an adaptor that can be used or is it possible to bodge?

All advice appreciated, cheers in advance.

No bodging required mate look at any car audio site or shop and you can get a a short adaptor to just clip in and are commonly available

Cheers fella

Dont forget the booster too!

one of these would have probably been enough.

My linkMy Sony Xplod didn't need a signal booster, even with a shark fin.

It won't hurt to have one I suppose.

Connect blue wire on booster to blue wire on stereo loom marked amp remote for a +12v supply.
