I was very impressed by almost all I read and viewed (videos) so I took the test drive. I was convinced! Before signing the papers, I took another test drive, just to be sure. That did it; I signed the deal.

Unfortunately, I started my disappointment in the process. The Hebrew brochure should include all standard items and options that are available in Israel. That's only 70% the case. Ahead of my disappointment, I knew the glass roof wasn't available here. Oh well...I love sunroofs (I had one in both Hyundai Trajets I leased and love them.) Then, after finally getting the family to decide on a color, I came in to order the car. "What? No dark blue? OK, so the lighter blue. What? Is the "fire engine" red available? Wait a second...have we regressed to the Model T (any color, as long as it's black)? OK, so we'll take the Capuccino."

If a lighter color, we decided on the lighter, Dune interior. Nope, although the seats are Dune (sandy yellow) in the photo, the car comes with a grey seat. That looks cheap with the Dune panels and all. Cruise control, although I knew was an option, cannot yet be ordered due to some glitch. So, I'll have to wait. In addition, it only gets installed upon arrival in Israel. (Did anyone get it installed at the plant in the Czech Rep.?)

The tires in the showroom are Continentals. I remember them from my big-rig driving days and felt they were par to Michelin. But the ones on the test car were Dunlop, which I've lately seen produced in Japan. I can't even order the ones I want; what they arrive with is what I'll get. :-( Does anyone have an opinion about the tires that came with the Yeti?

And finally, does anyone have any warnings about what to be aware of or look for when the car arrives?
