Tyre prices going mental

Featured Replies

I orderd 4 x Sunny SN3830 winter tyres for my car on friday i was going to get some Kumho KW23 a week ago they where £57 ish per corner i kept checking and they stayed at that price all week on mytyres.com I had to wait untill pay day (Friday). So come friday morning I went to there web site to order them and they had gone up to £78 per corner so I left them and went to work.

I then spent all day searching the web and I found that Sunny SN3830 had very good reviews and where only at £39.30 per corner so I didnt hang about and got them orderd since then they also have gone up as have the Kumho KW23 below is how they have gone up over the last week

Sunny SN3830 Fri = £39.30, Sat = £52, Sun = £65.80

Kumho KW23 Thur = £57, Fri = £78, Sat = £83, Sun = £93.70

Robbing gits wait until there is snow forcast and then start uping the price in accordance to the weather my advice to anyone wanting tyres for winter is buy them now before they go up any more.

That's how a 'Capitalist' economy works - and why I ordered my replacements in September.

If i had spare funds back then i would have bought them then

But are summer tyre prices going down while winter prices go up?

Could be a good time to buy for summer. . .

Demand and Supply

I bought my Kumho KW27 Winters in Late September

£43 each

Shame. :( I need a new set:giggle:

It's simple economics - supply and demand. Still pretty annoying when you leave it a day and see the price rocket up.

Same here. My KW-27s were about £85 a corner in September, mytyres list them at £143 now :o

£65 a corner in August, £112 now.

It really does pay to get them at the end of the summer!

Get them delivered from Australia
