My brother has been thinking about trading in his Golf (115) and went to look at the new Octavia Tdi 140.

Very impressed with the space, quality etc., but disappointed with the fuel consumption figures, (minge bag like me!)

He like me...and someone I know who works for Skoda too can't understand why the PD130 engine isn't in the range. :confused:

He was a bit dejected and said that he was thinking of looking at another Golf instead...yet again.. when I offered to do a search for an ex demonstrator 130 as an alternative.

Not being very clued up on cars he didn't realise that this may have been an option, and his local main dealer didn't suggest this either! :eek:

me too colin,a freind of the mrs has just picked up an octy,and my dad went to veiw some today,a guy i used to work with has also been qiuzzing us about the octavia,it seems a bright yellow vrs is attratcing quite a following in ludlow

Higher emission figures though...doesn't make sense. :confused: Consequential higher road tax too...totally baffled on this one.

'tis a crackin motor though Jasey. Had one as a courtesey car while mine was in for service..base model too..well impressed. Can't wait for August to get me mits on one.

Trying to get one of my Engineers to buy an Octy vRS, took him for a spin in mine and I think he is about to place an order!!

Sister bought a 1.6 SLX estate....

Parents run a TDI-110 L&K estate...

No problems with mine CJ, this is my second Elegance (well, my last was an SLX but you get the picture ). I intend to buy another in 2.5 years, but not if I have to take a considerable reduction in MPG :|
