I am just about to splash out and buy a pair of Thule K summit snow chains - the fancy ones that do not go behind the wheels and notice that they are supplied with clamps that fasten onto the wheel nuts. 17 and 19mm adaptors come as standard but others are available. DOes anyone know what size wheel nuts are used on the superb excellence with the 18 inch wheels (the reason for the very expensive snow chains)? I cannot find it in the handbook .

Every VAG car I've had has 17mm wheelnuts.
