Was planning to soon, but didnt want to wait for it (I know good things come to those that wait and my Furby is proof of that) but I impatiencent and want one now :D:thumbup:

Stoneacre got one for me in 2 days, apparently they had never sold one ever before! They look puzzled when you turn up in your Skoda.

We got the Intake and Strut Brace over night so they must be wising up and increasing stock levels

As far as warranty goes, you can bet (and its within the manufacturers rights) that any problems remotely close to said strut bar could be warranty voided. e.g. front suspension parts etc. It would depend on the dealers discretion and whether they stay shtum.

As far as insurance, I think that fitting any suspension/powertrain modification would be regarded by most insurance companies by default as performance enhancing (in that the driver "can" drive faster) and furthermore a totally unknown quantity in an accident situation. (Cars are not retested or recertified for every add on thats produced) Although you know that a SEAT and SKODA are similar, insurance companies just wouldnt recognise that, they go on accident statistics and cold facts.

If you think fitting larger brake discs makes your car safer, the insurance companies think the opposite, not only do can you drive faster, there is no guarantee that non standard parts (particularly fitted by someone other than the manufacturer) will work or not cause an accident.

Don't do mods without telling your insurance company...

I rang my dealer over dinner to see what the score was with warranty - the guy said that as long as it's fitted properly they wouldn't complian at all. Also said they haven't turned down a warranty claim for anything anyone's done to date - except remaps.

Which I think is fair enough as a remap really does make a massive difference to clutch wear potentially :)

Finetuning - beyond me beyond that word though :D

Well you can make the car stiffer or more flexible, depending on how you want the car to behave, as the stiffness improves the handling a tad

Hi everyone....

I ran a tweaked 205 1.9GTI (150bhp) for many years with top and bottom fron braces. Some idot understeered into me and put a large dent in the o/s front wing (he was probaly doing over 30mph on impact)...there was no damage to the inner wing or transfer to the n/s.

The adjustment is so when you fit the brace you can preload the brace against the top mount bolts so there is no movement before it hits the bolts.
