Interference noise caused by xenon lights?

Featured Replies

Hi looking for help.

Just had the following audio upgrades done to my VRS:

mObridge Bluetooth

Alpine PMX-F640 4x100 AMP

Infintiy Front Components

The system now sounds incredible compared to the original stock setup however I have one small problem. When I switch on the headlights (Xenon) a small amount of interference is audible through the speakers. Before I take the car back to the installers I'm looking for some help/guidance as to what the problem might be.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Dan

Usually, providing a ground connection directly to the battery does the trick.

Can you explain in a bit more detail what you mean?

You need to provide a ground cable (-ve) from the back of the radio direct to the battery negative. The interference is usually present on the ground connection.
