Hi,

Thanks for the advise, bought the fault code reader and it didn't show any codes... later on the warning light disappeared from the dashboard....

Cheers,

Ah, that looks excellent....

Cheaper than having a diagnostic at the garage....

is that ODBII for my car? is there a difference between the MKI & MKII Octavia?

Cheers,

Ewan

Would this tool also be able to reset the service light i.e. if you changed oil and serviced the car yourself?

If you're on fixed servicing then you can reset it yourself without any tools - Instructions in the user manual.

Thanks - On variable servicing.

I notice you can get cheap seperate unit on ebay to do this so wondered if this unit could read fault codes and reset service indicator
