New graphics card or X Box?

I think Joel and Paul above have made me mind up for me. A dedicated games machine will be better for dedictaed games playing.

I was flicking through a copy of Gigahertz magazine in't th'Asda today (great mag) and it seems like there's a new all singing all dancing graphics card out every week. Computer technology moves along so fast that I think I would always be hankering after the latest modification.

At least with the consoles you get a shelf life of about 5 years, which gives you time to save up for the next generation model.
