How Much?

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

just trying to gauge roughy how much my car is worth really. Would quite a VRS estate as im thinking of a bit more power!

its a 51 plate done 190,000 miles 110 TDI Elegance, Lowered on Spax VSX Suspenion, apart from that standard, it has had full service history since new (up until this year, i couldnt afford it), i am the second owner, cam belt doesnt need doing for about 15,000 miles or 2 years i think. good tyres all round, no issues with, usuall elegance spec.

Cheers guys.

Probably about £1800 I'd guess - I think it's the miles that will lower the value the most really. Not sure how the mods would affect the price though - probably would depend on who is buying it!

i would say 1k especially now you said you missed a service

well no it wasnt missed, i did all the servicing myself with all orignal parts, it just wasnt done by a garage, and to be honest i feel more comfortable that i did it anyway! i am aware that the suspension wont add value, just though it may help sell it to some people!

i would say £1200

I thought your car was using water (cause yet to be identified) a few weeks ago? Or has this problem been fixed? Apologies if I am thinking about the wrong car/person, I don't recall seeing a post saying the issue was resolved (but I could have missed it).

Yeah found the issue, i changed the thermostat and that seemed to help, we then did a compression test on the coolant system and there was a split in a pipe, at high pressure it was spraying out, now done 500 miles doesnt seem to have used any!
