KESSY and electric folding mirrors

Featured Replies

Hi,

I wonder if there is anyone with KESSY on their superb who has the same problem as me. If I lock the car with the key and continue to hold the lock button the mirrors fold and the windows closes. If I do the same with the touch button on the handle (with key in pocket) only the windows closes. I want the mirrors to fold when locking with the touch button to.

Is this correct?

I can't comment about the KESSY system but I do recall the mirror control has to be set to 'L' in order to fold them after locking the car and holding the lock button.

It's worth checking to ensure this is the case. If it is the case then its likely to be a limitation of the KESSY system.

Mine fold in regardless of the switch, the "L" position is relevent to the dipping when in reverese function though.

I aslo discovered, if you disable the window opening function, the fold in mirror option disables too, now that should be in the book.

Had me going crazy for a while, until I settled on the window opening the "drivers door window only" setting, the mirrors folded in once more.

Maybe the KESSY system has some wierd quirks too??

Thanks for your responses!

As Tankdave says the switch in "L" position (in my case "R", because im in Sweden and we have the steering wheel on the other side.) is just relevant to the dipping function when in reverse.

Maybe this is something that has to be coded with VAG-COM/VCDS to make it work with the KESSY sensor. Its just strange that closing and opening of the windows works with the sensor and the normal key but the folding only works with the key...

Other than this I think the KESSY system works fine. And because you still have the normal key you don't have to use the sensors to lock and unlock the car.

I have to check this with Skoda!
