Owdo...

Featured Replies

Just thought I'd say a quick hello as I've just joined.

I found a lovely 52 plate Fabia 1.9Tdi estate (Comfort), at my local Skoda dealership and very tempted to buy it for my wife.

It's done 68k and drives great. However, it does pull to the left a bit, the resistor has gone on the heater (thanks to the forum I now this!), and the recirculating air button doesn't work. The dealership said they'd fix this lot along with sorting the fuel cap that doesn't lock.

It's had two owners and has a fully stamped book and had a replacement belt a few thousand miles ago.

So for £3,000, does it sound a decent price or should we keep on looking? Oh, I also need to go back and check for a wet rear carpet... didn't know about that fault until I read some of the stickies!

Cheers,

Damian

PS,

Is it my imagination or have I read somewhere that along with the timing belt the water pump requires replacing too? Probably me as I seem to be living off red wine and coffee recently... not at the same time though!
