Mine is a DSG ie tall geared in 7th, is it better in 6th?

If remapped, because of the 250 NM limit on 7 speed DSG, can the torque be kept flat at 250 Nm and power let rise to from 160 hp at 4500 rpm to 215 hp at 6000 rpm say?

Top speed should be around geniune 155 then ie well past 160 on the clock and revs still only 5600 on the rev counter.

I assume you mean on a rolling road

On the ground that I like not being in prison being protected by 'Bubba'

Had my speedo on 152, but mines a 2 litre diesel manual......and it was in Germany, on the A2 near Bielefeld......and it was a shed load of fun.

I assume he doesn't live anywhere near the Sussex Safer Roads gestapo?

(Yes, guv, I nearly reached 29 today....er.....)

I've had it to 148 on speedo not gps on 6'th speed manual, fifth would go to 130. Rpm's were at 5800 so there was still space to go faster but wife started her music. I have it remapped from Ben@Shark to around 200 hp.

Germany of course. Rolling road operators often do not even give you an honest power output never mind a top speed and I use to work on one.

We do not have many pursuit cars round here, there is a VR6 Golf in Warwickshire regularly knicking on the top end of the M40. Rarely go above 80 in the UK, I need my licence for work. Done over 130 mph in a police car, as a passenger (not under arrest going to a traffic enforcement exercise) and about the same in Germany.

Any DSG speed merchants out there cause I reckon the DSG could be quite good with its gearing to compensate for non perfect conditions hills, wind ie changiing between 6th and 7th where standard petrol VRS will run out of revs with its gearing?
