Been keeping an eye on my oil level from new and after 12,000 miles and eight months the level has dropped to just under half way so now topped up. That’s pretty impressive Oil consumption on the CR140 Diesel.

To be fair I did run her in gradually increasing revs and torque over the first 1500 miles but apart from a short daily commute to work the majority of those 12k miles have been long motorway journey so the motor is well warmed up to operating temperature.

Excellent - and similar to my own experiences

My 140 took 1 litre at 6000 miles.

I ran it in using revs, but no load.

Most of the miles have been town, short runs (less than 20 miles)
