Chatting to my dealer this morning about new car delivery and he says that Grimsby is iced up at the moment and there is no movement as to car delivery.

What a country!

I feel your pain mate. There is nothing worse than a delay and can be so infuriating. I live near Grimsby, and believe me it is a nightmare with the weather. I got my first post for a week yesterday. Buses have only just started running again and schools, shops and businesses are all very badly disrupted. I'm not saying all has been done because I'm sure thing could have been done so much better but it is bad. Immingham Docks (which I assume is your hold up point) has very poor road access for such an important port. There were plans passed and a date set for running a big dual carriage way right up to the Docks but Mr Cameron, in his wisdom and hiding behind his age of austerity claims has cancelled this project, so we can expect this kind of disruption to be the norm in bad weather for many years to come.

I hope you are soon sorted, things are improving very quickly now and milder weather is forecast..so fingers crossed. :'(

My Fabia vRS is scheduled for build in Week 1 so perhaps by then everything will be back to normal. I hope!

Not only are you waiting for a Fabia, but a Vrs!! Jelous as I am I do hope you get your car without further delay and give us the pleasure of a pic when it comes. Good Luck

Week 36: Ordered with dealer.

Week 46: Built at the factory.

Week 48: At Emden waiting for a boat.

Week 49: Stuck in the f*****g snow at Grimsby! :(

As for the snow, these er `global warming ` winters seem to be more of the norm so councils need to start buying some more serious hardware for dealing with it. Despite the cutbacks us motorist pay a fortune in fees and taxes and rates and we want to see some return for it.................................ok rant over

looking on the plus side, at least the salt will have washed away by the time you get it .

My new fab is looking well salty. :'(

Just had a call to say mine has arrived at the dealers from Grimsby along with nine others so things are moving, should be able to pick her up tomorrow, Yippee!
