Felicia Fun Front wing removal

Featured Replies

I have discovered a hole about the size of a 50p coin in the drip/mounting rail

How are the wings held on, bolt locations, and how do i remove the plastic arch trim fitted to the fun?

Will any wing fit or do the differ between van and car which is/was the normal years ago!

after hitting a lorry i recently and to change the front wing on my felly,

I'm not a great mechanic so i took it down to my local bodyshop who charged £200 for spray and fitting. The corner of my bonnet had also crumpled and he repaired and resprayed that. the spray work was blended into the door and bonnet too. all in all a Absolute first class job.

Not sure if this helps but i wanted to let you know what i did because i was in the same position as you recently.

Good luck

Thanks for reply!

£200 is a good price for the work, but i plan to do it myself and save some money!!

They are bolted along the top of the inner wing (you'll have seen them), at the back in the door shut,, to the wing/bonnet stay (in the wheel arch, M8 thread, nearly always rusty and breaks), and behind the indicator. then it will just pull off.

As for the wheel arches, not sure, but usually some strong plastic 'wire' or a guitar string does the trick - most things are held on with double sided foam tape.

Youll be lucky to get the trim off, they are bonded on and I could get it off for love nor money and ended up buying a new one.

thanks for the help, going to order a wing this week, ebay seems the cheepest @ £28 or so plus post!

If it's made same as the Favorit, have a stanley knife ready to cut through the sealant holding the wing to the main frame, and some polyurethane sealant to put the new one on. The aim with the stanley knife is to splice the sealant along as close to the joining as possible. As you're sticking a new one on you can rag the old on off anyway.
