More Snow

After two weeks of salt, snow and ice I thought she deserved a touch of snowfoam.

Did you not get the car detailed/waxed just after you got it?

I was under the impression that snow foam will actually strip the wax off much quicker than regular shampoo? It would be interesting to hear your thoughts on whether it has this effect after a few uses.

Rinsed off the foam, dried and a buff-up.

Poorboys sealant on the wheels.

The wax is still on.

Looks fantastic :)

Looks good

Been cleaning mine too, since 9:30 (14:30 now), my back is killing me now :D

I jet washed first, (not very successfully) then done it normal way with buckets and various sponges, done the inside too. My factory carpets are getting a bity naff looking already.

Checked my oil, none burnt (2k) so that 's good I suppose. I got the sidelight bulbs out at last too and replaced with the MTEC ones.

Noticed quite a bit of salt crud gets in the engine bay and on to the inner wings, I'm guessing it gets in over the top of the headlights?

Staying in the warm now

I've taken out the factory carpets and I'm using some cheapo rubber ones until the Spring arrives.

No....Snow Foam will NOT strip wax

Auto Shampoo will not either...providing its pH neutral

However..Everytime you wash a car, the wax/sealer will degrade a small amount.

I always rewax with Bilt Hamber HydraWax every 6 weeks or sometimes less in the winter

Collinite 915 on mine.

Phil

Looks good, mine looks really mucky at the moment which was not helped by a 144 mile drive early this morning on damp salted roads. I am making the same journey in reverse tomorrow so mine is staying dirty for now.

It will take you ages to do 144 miles in reverse!

Mark.
