Hi there, my names Matt and I've been lurking here for a bit looking for info on the Octavia MkI vRS.

Currently drive a 2001 Vauxhall Vectra SRi 150 which I've had for nearly 6 years, never had a problem with it but recently it's started kicking blue smoke out pointing to piston rings and I begrudge paying out to fix a car worth so little so have been looking for a new car and fancy a change from Vauxhall.

Just this morning had a quick look around a vRS 03 plate at a local garage and one of my fears of changing from a VX (the driving position) has been put to rest, it felt like it would be a nice place to be.

Anyone got any experience with both the MkI Octy and a Vectra B to give me a comparison of whether theyr'e similar enough regarding load space etc?
