Bloody bushes!

Featured Replies

Morning all,

Just enquiring as to how reliable the standard bushes are. Literally 3-4 weeks ago the car was in the main dealers getting pretty much all bushes replaced. Now maybe one month on, all of that annoying ****ty creaking and squeaking is back. Is there any chance of going through another set of bushes in under a month? Or is it more likely the useless gimps at MSB Skoda have gone crazy with WD40 and tried mugging me off?

Thanks, rant over! :giggle:

Use Cupra bushes.

Any reason why you didn't go for Cupra ones? Although to be fair you'd expect a few dozen thousand miles before the new ones failed, even with stock ones!

How much did they charge you? That ought to show whether they just greased everything up, or actually did the work. Either way, repairs should have a guarantee, so take it back and get it done properly...

I have some spare cupra front wishbone rear bushes that im willing to sell if you want, getting rid of my car now so no point fitting them.

Yeah, it was warranty work or i would have gone for the cupra upgrade. They wanted nigh-on £300 and looked pretty upset when i mentioned i have a warranty... I'm going to phone the dealer today and request the car is inspected again and all relevant work is actually carried out.

Would it be a good idea to take the car to another Skoda dealer and have them inspect the car?
