What mileage should I expect from the front tyres on a Superb Elegance 170bhp? On my Mk1 (130bhp) , the Dunlops on the front lasted 35,000 miles before replacement. When I changed to a Mk2 I expected a lower mileage because the tyres were lower profile (225/40 Continetals). However, i was surprised to ifnd that I had to replace them at 14,000. My driving pattern had not changed in terms of road type, speed or load, and both cars were bought from being demonstrators. The wear was even all across the tread, and the tyre-fitters checked the track and wheel alignment and could find nothing wrong. I asked Skoda if this was normal for a Mk 2, but they wouldn't comment and suggested that I conatct Continental - who suggested that I contact Skoda. Any (serious) advice will be gratefully received!

20K out of the fronts on my PD140 DSG, now on 30K miles and the rears are still going strong.
