vrs using oil

Featured Replies

I checked my oil the other week and noticed it was low, just below the lowest marking point in the dipstick. I put a litre of oil in and checked it again and it was back up to the maximum. I have just washed my car and whilst i was at it i had a go at fixing the bonnet catch sensor as it keeps setting off the alarm and messing about with the wipers!! I also thought i would check the oil again just to make sure it was still full, and to my supprise it was back to below the minimum!! Its been no more than two weeks since i first filled it up. There is no signs of leaking and it doesnt seem to smoke much when driven, just a little bit when the car is first started but it always seems to do that and has done since new. The car is an 07 plate vrs se with 58k on the clock. Any ideas what this could be and what would i be best doing? I am thinking of filling it back up (obviously) and giving it another week and see what happens??

I`d do that first before worrying too much. I`v had cars do this before, then be totally fine for the rest of the time.
