They will fit but not the right type.

They will not have the brackets for the VRS front ARB drop links and the poundage will not be right

is there any coilovers for the mk1 vrs for less than £400 !?...Why are they £200 + dearer than normal octy ones with just a bracket on extra!??

do the audi tt ones fit as they look the same ???

they will fit but aren't right for the vrs!

need ones specific for the vrs.

tt fits but the weight loadings are wrong and not ideal for the vrs

Depending on what TT, if its quattro the rear isnt even close to being right.

just seen some for the tt front wheel drive that have exactly the same brackets etc and were told they are exactly the same coilovers ?.....

whoever told you that is talking cobblers!

as clive has said the weight loadings are wrong so there no good for a vrs.

you need vrs specific one's

The VRS has suspension unique to the VRS in terms of poundages as the hatch / estate is totally different set up in terms of weight to the rest of the VAG group including none VRS Octavia's.

Take it from the folk's who know and have used experience in fitting various suspension.

The trouble is yes people will say it fits and it looks the same, as that is true it does as the Golf MK4 R32 and Seat LCR and Audi TT/S3 all have the same drop link hook up points on the strut's but that does not mean they will work right.

As the VRS is fussy tuning companies also know this and that is why the cost of some kits for none VRS's are cheaper.

Most other chassis parts from R32/Audi TT/S3 can be changed and improve the VRS, like R32 FARB, TT Wishbones and hubs and Steering rack etc but not suspension.

bugga , didnt want to hear that .......cheapest ive seen is £360 then ....which by the time ive paid for fitting and set up too is not an option anymore .......damn

I know Ric from Venom Motorsport very well so he can do me the AP Coilys .....

But its twice my budget so coilovers are now a no go!?.....

Im in the same boat dude venom stock JOM coilovers i think there your cheapest option from what ive seen..

thats what I was looking at or fk ak ones on offer at venom but neither do them for the vrs only the normal octavia hence my problem , and twice the price!?

I think there for the newer ones not mine ? mines a 2001 vrs mk1

Yours would be the top ones, but in all honesty if your thinking of spending less that 200 on a set of coil overs you might as well just chop the springs to lower it, going to have the same result.

£360 is a very good price.

what make have you seen for that? weitecs are good value for money

edit: if your on a budget these are for the vrs £315 inc vat from site sponsor DPM performance

I'm using the JOM redlines combined with a 22mm rarb and they are pretty good for the price. Only downside I've seen so far is they are quite soft on track but appear quite hard on the road. \Either way they make the car look the dogs danglies and sit at a nice height

ok next questions , when lowering the vrs mk1 do you need different drop links , as seen some that are shorter or adjustable ?....
