Petrol or Diesel VRs estate?

Cheers again for all the responses, much appreciated

Will be getting an answer in the morning about the status of my order, at the mo unconfirmed week 6 build so not too hopeful!!

May consider the 1.8TSi dsg Elegence with the sports suspension. Not quite as quick as the petrol VRs but in the middle of the 2 for economy. Could then get a remap at some point to close the performance gap to the petrol VRs.

Decisions, decisions!!

I'd check about remaps before going down the route of the 1.8 with the DSG. That box is only rated for 250Nm of torque, which is what the 1.8 has as standard... I'm sure it could take more, but how much more would always be at the back of my mind...

I went for the 1.8 TSI DSG L&K and have not regretted it.

Have done 10K in SWMBO TSI VRS and frankly the L&K is a nicer place to be than the TSI VRS 99% of the time. Went for the Alcantara, bluetooth phone and paddles, nice to have steering wheel controls rather than reaching to centre consol.

Do not have to stop for fuel so often, low tax, lower buy cost, performance mid way between TSI VRS and CR VRS. Went for the hatch as boot way big enough, bigger than MK1 estate!
