Firstly I would like to say how impressed I am with this Site and forum - it really is a credit to all.

I'm new to the world of Skoda and am looking at a '57 Octavia vRS petrol. .

The car is in lovely condition and we have put down a deposit on it - but I have a couple of queries before actually handing over the cash.

I have searched the forums and can see that cruise is fairly easy to retrofit - but I would apprecite an indication of how much this would be ? I would do the installation but I would need the VAGcom sorting out.

Also important for us (my daughter more specifically) are electric rear windows - has anyone retro-fitted these ? - again same question on approximate cost on above basis of me to do fit out.

The cost of a stalk, plus a pint or 3 for a member here to do VAG-COM.

The climate control I guess is a big task and we can live without this - or find a different car.
