This morning it was very chilly, -11.5 according the computer, certainly the coldest I've ever seen it. Anyway, I know the computer makes a friendly little bing when the temperature drops to 4 degrees. but this morning as it warmed up to -5 degrees it made the same bing. Does that mean I can now take my gloves off or is there another reason for it? Anyone else notices it?

On a separate note, I also noticed the the "lights on warning buzzer" sounds if you have your indicators on when you kill the ignition (and open the door obviously) even if the lights are off. Strange.

Standard feature - once the temperature's below -5 degC you're supposed to know it's cold so the sound (and indication) doesn't come on. It's only the range around freezing it warns you about - so if it warms up that high (change would be a fine thing at present) the chime sounds.

Manual states:

The outside temperature indicator will appear with a snowflake symbol (warning signal for ice on the road) ⇒ page 14, fig. 8 and a warning signal sounds* when the outside temperature lies between +5°C and -5°C.

Standard feature - if you put the indicators on when the ignotion's off it turns on the parking lights (i.e. the front and back sidelights) on the relevant side. Useful for parking after dark on a dark road.

Manual states:

Parking light 

– Switch off the ignition.

– Push the lever up or down - the right-hand or left-hand parking light is switched on.

Information concerning the function of the lights.

• The turn signal system only operates when the ignition is switched on. The corresponding indicator light  or  in the instrument cluster also flashes.

• The turn signal is automatically cancelled after negotiating a curve.

• The side light and rear light on the appropriate side of the vehicle are switched on when the parking light is selected. The parking light function only operates if the ignition is switched off.

• An acoustic warning signal will sound when the driver's door is opened if the lever is not in the middle position after removing the ignition key. The acoustic warning signal will stop just as soon as the driver's door is closed.
