Fault with additional amp?

Featured Replies

My superb II has the upgraded sound system then, unexpectedly the bass drivers in the rear stopped working. Could this be an effect of the cold weather, or just coincidence? Does anybody know how to reset the system or even just the amp, or is there a hidden fuse somewhere? HELP!

Check the connections on the amp, I believe it's under a seat? it's quite likely to be loose plug.

Checked the connections seem fine... is there a fuse anywhere?

Cold weather has made my already dodgy speakers sound a thousand times worse. I have my fingers crossed that when it gets milder (soon hopefully) that the problem will go away............

If it was a fuse, I'm sure all the speakers would have stopped? I've not got the Amp BTW, is it possible to plug the rear speakers into the amp output for the fronts? If they then work, then the amp would be faulty, if the rears still dont work then its the speakers or cabling.

This is how I would diagnose this, but that's assuming you have the ability to swap the connections or have the kit to make a temp hook up.

Just to keep folks up to date as the cold weather left us , and the warmer weather returned.....so did the bass, how strange!

Mine too,, It now does not sound like a pencil tapping a paper cup which contains a small pebble any more!.

Strangely the passenger side was not as badly affected as the drivers side.

Is there any indicate lights on the AMP?If there is a light and it's on, I think maybe sth wrong with the bass speaker?

Only the bass isn't working or all of the speakers in the rear?

To my knowledge I've not seen any fuse in AMPs. But maybe it's quite different for those in cars.
