You can get a remap for less than that, a tuning box basically causes the engine to inject more fuel without altering timing or boost by fiddling with the cars sensor readings. Result is a lot of soot which is bad if you have a DPF. A pro remap will alter boost, timing and fuelling and give a much better all round result.

If you are looking at Tuning Boxes as they are easily removed for servicing/warranty claims then you should contact SHARKPerformance - forum sponsor - I am sure he will do you a one of his STS boxes with a map suitable for your motor. The STS box will enable you to return your car to its original map when you need to and then reload the tuned map.

There are others who also supply the 'remap box' at different prices and with different maps - I run one from Viezu, they call their version a 'Viezu V-Switch' (but its the same unit) and theirs normally come with 2 new maps to suit your car as well as the ability to restore your original map when needed.

Or as Manny said a straight remap is even cheaper as the 'box' normally adds about £150 to the deal - just depends if you need the flexibility or not.
