long life oil for 1.8T?

Featured Replies

Hi!

I run with Liqui Moly 5W40 oil (50% in town, busy traffic,50% outside) ,and drain it every 6200 max 7500 miles. For me this is the best oil...price,performance...

But I cover that milege in 5-6 months and I was thinking to start using long life oil ,5W30 from Liqui Moly too....so is that suitable for an old 1.8T with 85.500 miles on the clock?

How often must must be drained?

do a quick search on here mate providing it meets the vw spec 504/507 if i remember right then it'll be fine, cars on longlife servicing usually do around 17/18K but i'd probably change it well before then
